Deliverance Church Int'l - Nyahururu · Last updated August 2026
Deliverance Church Int'l - Nyahururu collect a small amount of personal information to run our church community well — to know who's part of it, to follow up with visitors, to care for people pastorally, and to keep everyone informed about what's happening. This page explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have about it.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us:
- If you plan a visit — your name, and whatever of phone/email you choose to leave, plus any message you write.
- If you register as a member (in person, or via our self-registration link) — your name, gender, date of birth, phone, email, and address.
- As part of ongoing church life — attendance at services and events, which groups or ministries you're part of, and a record of communications we've sent you.
Why we collect it
- To follow up with visitors and welcome new members.
- For pastoral care — knowing who to check in on, and why.
- To run attendance, ministries, and events well.
- To send you relevant updates (service times, event info) — only through the contact details you've actually given us.
We don't use your information for anything beyond running this church, and we never sell it or hand it to outside marketers.
Who can see it
Only staff and leaders who need it for their role — access is individually granted, not open by default, and what any one person can see depends on their specific responsibility (a cell leader sees their own cell, not the whole church roster, for example). We keep a record of significant changes made to your information.
How it's stored
Your information lives in our church management system's database, access to which requires an individual staff login — there's no public listing of member or visitor details anywhere on this website. We keep it for as long as you're connected to our church community, or until you ask us to remove it.
If you're under 18
Our self-registration link is for adults only — it won't accept a date of birth under 18. If you're younger, please register with a parent or guardian, or speak to one of our team in person — they'll be glad to help.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- Tell you exactly what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information, or stop using it for a particular purpose.
Reach out using the details below and we'll respond promptly. If you're ever not satisfied with how we've handled a request, you may also contact Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
Changes to this policy
If how we handle information changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
